Second Annual Pajamas and Books for Bedtime

December 1, 2009

Success by 6 at the Early Learning Coalition of Marion County in partnership with United Way of Marion County will host its Second Annual Pajamas and Books for Bedtime. Success by 6 is an initiative that addresses the needs of parents with children birth through age 6.  ELO can assist by donating new PJ’s in various sizes and/or books or by collecting cash donations for PJ’s and books

  • All Pajamas must be new/store bought.  Various sizes are needed in both girl and boy fashions starting from infants through adults sizes (for some of the teenagers).
  • Books can be new or gently used and we are in need of infant picture books, children’s books and chapter books (for pre-teens and teens).

The pajamas and books will be distributed during the holiday season prior to Christmas. All donations are due December 1, 2009. Children receiving the pajamas and books will be prioritized in the following order: 1) children residing in the domestic violence shelter and emergency shelters within Marion County, 2) children residing in maternal and transitional housing, and 3) children residing in low-income households throughout the county.
