Food 4 Kids
Reduce the negative effects of hunger on learning…
Attention Emerging Leaders! School’s in session and you know what that means – it’s again time to support Interfaith Emergency Services’ Food 4 Kids program. This program provides backpacks full of food on Fridays to over 950 hungry children in Marion County who may otherwise not have a meal again until school on Monday. This is one of our major community service projects, so let’s GIVE BIG! Please bring food items such as these to the next ELO event:
- canned meat (tuna, Vienna sausages, Spam, etc.)
- canned pasta (14-15 oz.)
- canned soup
- milk (1 qt., shelf-stable non-refrigerated)
- juice boxes
- macaroni and cheese (boxed)
- peanut butter (plastic container)
- pudding cups (lunch box size)
- fruit cups (lunch box size)
- cereal (variety pack –single serving)
- snack bars (cereal bars, granola bars, etc.)
- pop tarts
- crackers (filled with peanut butter or cheese)
- snacks (pretzels, cookies, raisins – all single serving; no candy)
