Food 4 Kids Program
Purpose: To provide food each weekend during the school year to hungry school aged children and their siblings. This program reduces the negative effects of hunger on learning. Food 4 Kids currently feeds over 1300 children by sending backpacks of food home each weekend. The average cost to feed one child is approximately $5.80 per week. Food gift cards are distributed during the School’s Winter Break. Food 4 Kids was started in 2004 with 2 schools and has grown to 26 schools. Food 4 Kids believes that No child should go to bed hungry.
